Our Expedition in Learning
At Expedition Learning Academy, we believe education is an expedition, and no family should navigate it alone. With over 50 years of combined teaching experience, we are veteran educators dedicated to guiding students and families toward academic success.
Founded by Leslie and Katrina, a mother-daughter team of experienced and passionate educators, our mission is to provide personalized, expert support for students of all ages. With certifications in elementary education, middle grades integrated, high school math, reading, biology, health, ESE, ESOL, and library media science, we bring a wealth of knowledge to every student we serve.
- Leslie specializes in reading, math, and SAT/ACT prep, helping students build strong academic foundations and achieve their college admissions goals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, an MBA, and a master’s degree in educational leadership.
- Katrina focuses on science education, curriculum selection, executive function coaching, dual enrollment guidance, testing accommodations, and post-secondary planning, ensuring students have the tools and strategies to succeed at every stage of their academic journey. She also creates her own preschool curriculum for her daughter and brings a deep understanding of early childhood education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a master’s degree in educational leadership.
Both Leslie and Katrina have taught in public and private schools and have taught their own children, giving them a unique perspective on a variety of educational pathways. For over a decade, Katrina has also conducted homeschool evaluations, assisting families in creating customized learning plans, tracking student growth, and navigating state requirements.
