How Our Coaching Process Works
We take a personalized approach to executive functions coaching, ensuring that every plan is tailored to your child’s unique strengths and challenges. Here’s what to expect:
Step 1: Parent Questionnaire & Intake
Before we begin, parents complete a detailed questionnaire to help us understand:
- How executive dysfunction impacts your child’s daily life
- Specific struggles at home, in school, and in social situations
- Your family’s goals for coaching and areas you’d like to see improvement
This step ensures we start with a clear picture of your child’s needs and how we can best support them.
Step 2: Baseline Skills Assessment (1 Hour)
Next, your child will complete an individualized assessment designed to evaluate key executive function skills such as:
- Task initiation & follow-through
- Working memory & organization
- Impulse control & emotional regulation
- Planning & time management
This session gives us a baseline to track progress and pinpoint specific areas for growth.
Step 3: Personalized Coaching Sessions
During one-on-one coaching sessions, we work on targeted activities to strengthen executive function skills. Sessions are engaging, practical, and designed to build real-world strategies for:
🔹 Time Management – Using planners, timers, and schedules effectively
🔹 Organization – Developing systems for homework, schoolwork, and daily routines
🔹 Task Initiation – Overcoming procrastination and building motivation
🔹 Self-Regulation – Learning emotional control and stress management techniques
Each session is tailored to your child’s learning style, with strategies they can apply immediately at home and in school.
